The end of an era

To those who are there fortunate enough to find a piece to called their own.

Have you ever had a piece that meant the world to you? Something that you were proud to show off, similar to a child? (minus the whole breathing and being alive thing.)  Well I did have such said piece, its name was jack the ripper. Its hard to see something that you loved so dearly become merely a pile of glass, just small remnants of its former being.

O, Jack was a fine young piece, Jack would stay with me for hours at a time. He got his name for his powerful smoke intake. All one had to do was pack a bowl and take a pull, with one strong breath he'd rip right through your lungs. In the night when no one else was around, there was alway Jack. Jack knew just the right things to do, like hold weed in him, then let me smoke it, perfect!

Over the past few weeks Jack had gotten rather dirty so I decided to clean him off in a nice hot tub. I sparked up my stove and began to heat the water with Jack swirling around inside. With little to no warning I heard a crack, then another, and another. Finally as if its soul had dispersed, Jack fell to pieces.
I would like to dedicate this moment of silence for all the lost piece souls that have departed from us over time.....................you will be missed.

Guess I should spend more than 15$ next time.

A.B. 390-learn yourself some knowledge!

If you are into current events at all you should know about A.B. 390. Yea its nice to be lazy and keep your mind away from the news monster but sometimes you can really find some good in the world. Heres a perfect example with A.B. 390 California's Marijuana Control, Regulation, Education Act.

There is some real hope with this, these are the facts according to the Marijuana Policy Project:

  • "Removes criminal penalties for personal marijuana possession and cultivation for adults over the age of 21. Adults 21 and up could use marijuana at home or at a home with the consent of a resident 21 years of age or older. Using marijuana in public would be a $100 fine."
  • "Allows persons 21 or older to grow up to six mature plants. If a garden is outdoors, it couldn't be visible to the public."
  • "Makes possession and sales of marijuana paraphernalia legal for adults 21 and up."
  • "Allows cultivation of industrial hemp."
  • "Bans local agencies from willfully assisting federal law enforcement efforts to enforce federal laws that are inconsistent with California law, and bans the use of state/local resources to do so."
  • "Does not remove penalties for marijuana possession or sales on high school or lower schools' grounds."

  • "Does not change existing law protecting medical marijuana patients, nor does it impose additional taxes on marijuana obtained for medical purposes."

  • "Does not affect the rights of employers to drug test and terminate or deny employment to individuals based on their marijuana use."
  • "Institutes a regulatory system for commercial growers, processors, wholesalers, and retailers, to go in effect 30 days after a change in federal law allowing states to set their own marijuana policies. The system would be similar to alcohol regulation and a fee of $50 per ounce of marijuana would be assessed on retailers."
Buddha willing the dream will soon be alive.
Because I have a dream, that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "Smoke weed everyday." As the great Dr. once said, Dr. Dre that is. All jokes aside we do need to look into this as a community, this is a stepping stone past a level of oppression.
 LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD.
